11th Rum International Marathon
Annual marathon held in the desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan. The marathon is organized by Unlimited Distances and is designed to showcase the beauty and endurance of this unique desert environment. The marathon is popular among both local and international runners and offers a challenging and rewarding experience for all participants.
This event includes 3 distinct races with different distances and degrees of difficulty:
-84 km & 84 Km Relay are open to all athletes, professionals aged 18 and over
-22 km are open to all athletes, professionals or not, aged 18 and over
-10 km are open to all athletes, professionals or not, aged 15 and over
General Information:
84 Km run individual during two days, 1st day 62 Km, 2 nd day 22 Km. Relay (pair) two days, 1st day 31 Km for each person, 2nd day 11 Km for each person
Gathering Thursday 24/10/2024
11:00 am Cozmo 7th circle
12:00 noon buses move to Wadi Rum
Registration fees includes:
- Transportation from/to Amman
- Overnight in Wadi Rum for 2 nights with all meals
- T-Shirt, Bib number and Medal
Friday 25/10/2024
06:00 am Start of 84 Km individual & relay
06:00 pm road close
84 Km runners need to bring:
Mandatory equipment:
- Backpack
- 1 Litter of water (two bottles of 500ml)
- Head Light - A whistle/ Cap
- Mobile/ Light reflective material
- First Aid
- One aluminum survival sheet
Optional equipment:
- Internet
- Energy Bar / Gel
